Re: Keeping Payments Current Up Until BK Filing

I suggest that many attorney handling bankruptcy cases know very little about the INs and OUTs of rebuilding credit. I did not follow my attorney's recommendations. I crafted my own rebuilding plan and proof that mine was successful is that I bought and closed on a new house 15 months post discharge ... and my scores were mid 600s 90-days post discharge. I agree that each person's results are dependent on where their scores were discharge and what was done to improve their profile immediately after discharge.

Re: Keeping Payments Current Up Until BK Filing

Granted a 700 score with a BK is not the same as a 700 score without a BK, but a 700 score in obtainable much sooner than 24 months.

I think the BK - 700 guide is meant to show that, as a maximum, 24 months should be the longest it will take to obtain 700...
BK Discharge 2/11/14

Most definitely. All good.
