My wife has filed chapter 13 bankruptcy and a vehicle has been included. At the time of filing we were not married and just got maried 2 years into the backrutpcy. My wife has changed her last name and now it does not match the title of the vehicle. The lein holder refuses to change the name without it going through the courts and my attorney keeps saying that he will send them a letter. It has been over a month and I have not gotten anywhere with either my attorney or the lein holder. What can I do to force them to change the name on the title so I can register this car and get it back on the road? What about my lawyer, is there somthing he can do witht he courts to maybe show that my wife is indeed the same person as listed on the title?
