Since my bankruptcy was discharged in June 2015 I have 5 credit cards with high limits and low balances. My score is in mid to high 600's and I have 6 hard inquiries on Transunion and Equifax although I thought the oldest one In 2/1/2015 would of disappeared by now. How hard will it be to get approved for a car loan in the near future? My credit report still lists 18 - 20 accounts dating back to 2005 when I had my very first credit card and car loan with GMAC . When does this stuff disappear? I achieved my goal with my last two cards getting high limits, no annual fee and zero APR so I plan on combining the other crappy cards when I am eligible to do so. I don’t need any more cards at this point so I am assuming I should not apply for anything else in the mean time? Thanks
Sounds like you are doing well on your rebuild. You shouldn't have a problem getting a decent car loan. You can check the prequalifier with Cap1 to see what they will do for you. If you have a credit union like Navy Federal, you might check there as well before going into the dealer. Good luck to you!
Contrats, sounds like you've done solid rebuilding. Credit inquiries will remain on your credit report for 2 years, but will only affect your score for 1 year.
Thanks Guys. So let’s say I apply for one more card for the heck of it within the next 6 Months. Do you think that would drastically reduce my chances of an auto loan or a big difference in the auto loan interest rate?
