I posted this in the other credit section, but wanted to share here as well. It has been a long road, I am 4 years and 4 months post bk. I know this is a co-branded card, but I want to share my experience that if it wasn't for Scupra plan/guide, I probably would be still trying to figure out how to rebuild. Long story short I applied yesterday night and received the following message this morning:
Congratulations! Based on your creditworthiness, you have been approved for a Navy Federal More Rewards American Express Card credit card. Your new credit line will be $25,000.00. Your APR will be 11.99%.
AMAZING. Congratulations!
Navy rocks
Congrats! That is one heck of an approval

You can try at 5 years post file date. Sounds like you should be VERY close to that. Please keep me updated with the results if you try
Scupra what is your plan/guide?

Just to clarify, it is 5 years from file date not discharge date?

I will re-clarify this....Its 5 yrs and 1 mo post file date. You have to go into the next following month, for their computers to read your reports as past 5 yrs. For ex, I filed in May 2013, and was approved June 1. I had tried in may a few days after my file date, and was declined for BK. But, once June hit, the computer saw it as "past 5 yrs", and I was approved. This is a known thing.
