Re: New Card

Thanks I took your advice into consideration when applying for the Barclays. I was planning to get 1 INQ and 1 Acct to keep things as minimal as possible. The only reason I did the Credit One is because I panicked but also was told it would not be a HP. It clearly states on their site that it will "not affect credit" but then its kind of strange that they got all that info so now I'm wondering... Since I was denied there as well it makes me think the something is up and that I'm not actually a failure! The only thing is that I have all sorts of addresses on my CR that I have been unable to remove for some time. I have actually had a more difficult time getting the proper address and employment info on my CR than removing negs!! It has never affected me in the past but who knows now days.

Re: New Card

UPDATE:  So I called the backdoor number today for the Barclays card and they were very friendly and helpful. He had me verify a few things (addresses on my CR screwed up) and then he was like OK you're approved. I had some questions and he xfer me to a credit analyst who told me they were giving me $1500CL and she thought this was fair based on doing well (no baddies) since BK and that they also took into consideration my other open card. So all in all informative and worth it. I just hope hope the card will grow with me as many others have suggested!

Re: New Card

[ Edited ]

Congratulations. I love my barclay's card. I was approved about seven months ago (3 years post BK) and I have already had one auto CL increase. I can't wait for more. Interest rate is high but the only balance I carry on the card are at 0% from Apple purchases :smileyhappy:
