Cap1 was VERY quick to close my open no balance card when they found out about me filing.
Off topic from Capital One but I had a line of credit at my bank closed within 48 hours of me filing Ch7. Hit me out of left field! Again, not Cap One but speaks to how fast your Ch7 noticing gets flying around and how fast creditors act on it.
Thanks so much to everyone replying to my message...how ironic it is that people who burn Capital One in chaptet 7 get a new card fro them days after being discharged, and in my case, with zero balance for months in my two cards with them, will get my accounts closed ? It just does not make sense...I guess I will need to apply again for another CO card after being discharged. But, has anyone kept a Capital One and/or a Credit One Bank card open during bankruptcy...I was hoping I was already set for rebuilding. FYI, my two CO cards have 1,300 and 2,000 limits, and my credit one bank has a CL of 600...hopefully they just lower my CL and keep my cards open, just hoping...
I actually have an Amex that has thus far survived, I filed about two months ago. I know the minute I use it they'll do a soft pull and close it since it's been so long since usage. I like to dream about them not closing it but Amex hates bankruptcy.
I had two credit accounts with $0 balance when I filed my CH7 and were not listed or included. Lowes card from GE, now Synchrony, but I included other cards from GE so they closed Lowes as soon as they received BK notice on the others. I apped for a new Lowes card in Jan and was approved with $5k SL. The other was Bill Me Later, now PayPal Credit from Commentiy. I didn't have any other Commenity accounts so that one surived, still have it with $2500 CL.
