For example, one IIB account went delinquent and stayed that way prior to the BK in 6/03.  So, if we filed in 9/04 this account would fall off 1 year sooner if the DOFD is used instead of the filing date of the BK.  Am I making any sense?

If the account is reporting a CO, then yes the DOFD should be the date it went to CO--regardless of the BK.

CRAs mights or not might get this, without a lawsuit. Thing is, regardless of what the twits at the CRA report, they might well delete at the appropriate time. I just had a CO disappear, even though EQ was responding to me with their B.S. about "this will remain for 7 years from the late update". Magically, they deleted. Perhaps I'm on their "credit freak with lawsuit lust" list.
