Paypal credit after chapter 7

What happens to this account after chapter 7? Mine is still open and available to use with $0.00 balance. I know this does not report to the credit bureaus. Would I be able to use this before discharge??? or would I be in trouble? Just wanted to take advantage of promotional offers if any. Also, this is a bill me later account backed by comenity, my only comenity account.

I'm not an attorney, but I strongly suggest not to charge anything until your discharge. Don't take the chance of the trustee finding out, etc. Perhaps ask your attorney? Remember, the trustee is for the creditors, not you. Have an awesome Thanksgiving.

I reccomend you don't charge anything on it until after discharge - you're not supposed to take on new credit until discharge, and a picky & diligent Trustee could find out and complicate your discharge. But, the account well may survive your BK7. I was in the exact same situation in my 2010 BK7 - had $0 balance for some time before filing so didn't list it, and as my only Commentity account they didn't find out about my BK and left the account open. Five years later it's still open and I use it regularly for small stuff on eBay.

if you want to throw a monkey wrench in your DC, by all means, use it. The trustee gets wind of that, and he/she could dismiss the whole thing. You will probably lose the acct all together after the DC. Once the creditors get wind of the filing, and the DC, they usually close all acts at that point.
