About every mortgage lender will not allow you to get a mortgage loan until it has been two years since your chapter 13 bankruptcy discharge. I finally found one that will allow you to get an FHA loan as soon as the discharge status shows up on all three credit bureaus. I talked to one of the loan officers and explained my situation.
