Pre-Approval mail notice - Too soon to Act ?

Just got BK7 discharge, got CR dump and filed dispute (s) the three CRA on bad data. Have not gotten CMRRR back yet. (Its only been a week)

Looking through all of the mail I got during the BK process and found  a Fifth Third Bank "pre-Approval"  for a Fith Third Platinume Card 0%APR on 1st 15 billing cycles, with a APR ranging from 10.99 to 23.99%.

With a respond by April 14, 2015 (3 days from now)

Tried on-site with code, but refered me to a 888 number to call

There has not been at least 30 day since the CRA disputes, I assume the bad data will not have been corrected, all currently show BK, Discharged

My question is, should i hold back an wait until the bad date is corrected in 30 Plus days or should i call and take a risk of a Hard inquires?

I have 3 Regular Inquires at this time, BoA 12/3/14, 4/1/15, T-Mobile 1/12/15

Filed, BK7 1/21/15, Discharged 4/21/15

Scores

4/21/15 - Experian 591, Transunion 513, Equifax 602

5/11/15 - Experian 591, Transunion 513, Equifac 600

Not to rain on your parade or anything but I'm fairly confident that you will be denied for that card once they pull a current report.

That pre-approval was most likely a SP before your scores tanked due to the BR.

If I am going to burn a HP I wouldn't do it with that one... I'd apply at a lender more favorable to BR... such as CapOne.

I can't say if you would get approved or not.. I do agree with TRC though, CapOne would most likely be the safer option. I would just wait for your disputes to come back. Remember rebuilding is a marathon not a race Smiley Happy
