Before my BK I was sued by Discover and taken to court as they had my wages garnished. This caused me to file Ch 13 to stop Discover from garnishing my wages. My Ch13 was discharged in Sept and my account with Discover is $0 IIB. It is a legal item on my credit report, the status is "filed" and is due to be removed from my credit report unti April 2018. Since this debt was removed in BK is this something I can dispute and have removed from my credit report legally?
I talked to my lawyer and they said the judgement still appeared to be open on the credit report. So I called each of the credit reporting companies and told them it was included in my BK. Trans Union has marked the public record included in BK. Experian removed it from my CR. I'm just waiting to see what Equifax does.
Congrats on some progress. Keep it up!
