Small balance post BK 13

Folks - I have a question.  My plan will DC 9/24/2015 and according to my repayment, I will have a small balance of unsecured debt remaining (roughly $5,000).  My secured debts and priority debts have all been paid.  From experience, does anyone know what will happen (is this balance just disregarded or what).  The plan terms were 5 years and I do know, the plan can not be stretched beyond that...thank you for your response.

I believe it's discharged.

I paid back just over 50% of my unsecured debt... the rest was discharged.  It all depends on what % payment plan you are on...

Re: Small balance post BK 13

I'd contact my attorney and/or the trustee then.

If you are on 100% repayment with a $5k balance something is off... but then again you are worrying about something 6 months away.  I'd wait to see how it all plays out first.  When it comes time for discharge you have a 30-120 wait anyway after your last payment while the trustee does the audit and other paperwork.

I made my last payment Feb 2013 and didn't get the discharge till May.  If there's something wrong I'm sure they will find it at that time.
