I am two years post discharge. I have been able to obtain Walmart, Amazon and some others. They would not touch me before then. Each time it was a denial. It's a YMMV thing. I did burn them for JC Penney for a balance of around 300.

I'm just shy of 2 1/2 years post discharge. I applied for three credit cards during my first 28 months post discharge. My credit card applications were each spaced out by 6 month intervals. Capital One was obtained a week after discharge, NFCU Cash Rewards was acquired 6 months after discharge, and Barclay Rewards was acquired approximately 1 year post discharge. After closing on my mortgage last month (29 months post discharge) I decided to go on a mini application spree. I applied online and was instantly approved for the Cap One Venture, NFCU Platinum, Neiman Marcus, and Lowes CC's (Synchrony Bank). The Lowes card was approved via my online application with a $1k starting CL. I immediately contacted the customer service representative and was approved for a $12k limit. I did not burn Synchrony nor any of the other banks through which I've applied and been approved for credit. I did have a Lowes card prior to discharge that was closed and paid as agreed. The information on this forum has provided me with a road map for rebuilding. I haven't nor plan to apply for credit without a reasonable idea that I will be approved. I've yet to be declined for credit as a result of being armed with the knowledge provided on this forum.

I am 72 days post discharge. I have 5 bank credit cards (all unsecured). I applied for Amazon at day 61 - declined & Walmart day 68 - declined...Hope that helps !
Did you get your Venture with low scores, and did you get your QS1 with low scores?
I'm wondering how Capital One determines who gets the credit steps $300 limits, and who gets the nice starting limits.

Got 2 Cap One cards days after discharge - $300 each. 4 months later got a $500 CLI on each. Yes once every bad dropped off my reports in Jan I was approved for Venture and QS.

For me, I was at 5 months post 7 discharge and after some success with Cap 1 and Barclays ( heck , even a pre-approved SCT pop-up from Eddie Bauer) I tried for the Amazon Store card and got the 'gong'. Reason cited in email was "BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDING, CREDIT COUNSELING OR CREDITOR SETTLEMENT" - FYI they Pulled from TU. I pulled the trigger too soon I suspect.
