Yes Shols44 I said the same thing abt the huge cls! We will have to wait and see. Maybe I will find out on Monday. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Scupra, I opened the account and applied for a card right away. The rep told me that they would usually counter offer with the secured card if I dont get approved. If that's the case I will go with that and see how things go from there. Either way after this Im off to the garden until 06/13!!

Awesome! I signed up for checking and savings the same day I filed and then the exact day I saw on pacer that I was discharged opened the secured nRewards through them. They said it will graduate in a year and from what it looks like on these boards it will also double the CL at that point. I wish I had some built up lines before so I could have gone unsecured right away, but I didnt want to wait to start with them! The end goal is to apply for a house two years from now through them
Aloha,
Great post I am in the process of applying for a NFCU account as well when my son joins the army. This bank has everything I will need from personal accounts to business accounts. Also would like to know more information on Merrick Bank? I never heard of them and how do you apply for it?
Aloha
Hawaii12, I got a pre-approved offer in the mail from them. The startling cl is 600.00 and doubles to 1200.00 after 6mos of on time payments. Just joined NFCU Friday. Have heard nothing but good things about them on this board so we will see what happens.
Cool..... Congrats. What is needed to join NFCU? Did you have a member of you family in the military?
My dad was in the military but he's retired now. I really wish everyone could get in if they've served in the military and notjust retired...
WOW...... Question Did your dad have to open account for you to get account or Was you able to open a account without him but had to prove that he was in the military?
I was able to open the account myself by providing his info. He does not have an account there though...
That Great I have two grandfathers that have retired from the Service so it shouldn't with no problem me join the NFCU
