Well, I couldn't help myself and tried the pre-qual site for Discover. It returned a Discover IT Double Cash Back card with a set APR of 23.4 % with a SL of 6500.
I've read that it is probably a true pre-qual approval when it does not give you a big range for the APR.
Since it did not give me a range of APR I decide to get it.
And like an idiot I am deciding to ask the following questions after I applied...
1. Is this card considered Prime?
2. Even though my plan is to never carry a balance, can I negotiate the APR once my scores and history improve?
3. How is Discover with CLI growth?
I just hit 12 months post ch. 7 BK. I would highly suggest Fingerhut, make a minimal purchase and pay it off in 2 payments over 2 months. In 9 mths my credit line went from 500 to 1400. And I was able to get approved for an Overstock Card for $500.
As I continued down the posts I saw you have two nice cards already, kudos! After 6 or 7 months with Cap 1, I would app for another one of their cards.

The Discover pre-qual gave you a limit?
1. I consider Discover prime. I don't know what you consider prime though
2. I think you can request an APR reduction once a year
3. Amazing, there is a huge thread on Discover SP CLI. I think you need to be around 6 months in though
No the prequal didn't give me the SL. I found out after applying.
I was a little worried that it was going to be a low SL...
Awesome to know that cli requests are SP and that I can request APR reductions with them...

Definitely find the huge Discover CLI thread, there is a TON of info in it.
Scupra,
Could you post a link to the cli thread you are referencing?
