I actually just signed up for NFCU, both of my granparents were in the service, although both have passed away I tried anyhow. I called to apply and explained the situation and they approved me. I'll see if they kick me out in a while. I've heard that's happened to some, we shall see - it was worth the effort I think.

Bankruptcy was the scariest thing in the world I ever had to face, but I have come to find out that it's not the end all! My situation really began to turn around when I started disputing the negative items on my credit report. This helped raise my score somewhat and even though it didn't happen overnight, it did still help. The biggest thing that I've learned through this ordeal was to live within my means! Thanks.
