I actually just signed up for NFCU, both of my granparents were in the service, although both have passed away I tried anyhow.  I called to apply and explained the situation and they approved me.  I'll see if they kick me out in a while.  I've heard that's happened to some, we shall see - it was worth the effort I think.

Bankruptcy was the scariest thing in the world I ever had to face, but I have come to find out that it's not the end all!  My situation really began to turn around when I started disputing the negative items on my credit report.  This helped raise my score somewhat and even though it didn't happen overnight, it did still help.  The biggest thing that I've learned through this ordeal was to live within my means!  Thanks.

Discharged Oct 2010, not sure of current scores, but most recent are in signature

Chap 7 Bankruptcy/ 7 years 3 months old.
*Over the last 4 years I have managed to raise my NFCU Platinum card to a 39K limit, as well as just got approved for an AMEX Blue cash preferred card with a 10K limit.

The last time I checked these were my fico's

Transunion- 748
Equifax- 751
Experian- 790
