is there a problem....

I'm trying to see, what is the concern or issue with sending a copy of your discharge with a list of your creditors to the credit bureaus to update your file..vs sending it certified mail..I am assuming this will get it done even quicker.....

Re: is there a problem....

Why would you even do this?  The court will update your CR in a very short time.

When were you discharged?  Yesterday?

Re: is there a problem....

No I was discharged on the 1/26/15..I was simply asking the question because when looking at the bankruptcy to 700 it says to dispute anything that doesn't reflect IIB and a $0 balance. I was asking why do that when you can just send in discharge notice or was there an issue with that....did you get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?...if you cannot be supporting please don't reply to my post.sarcasm not welcomed..I'm only trying to understand.....

Re: is there a problem....

LOL... I'm fine.  Thanks for the recommendation though.

If you go back and read the bankruptcy to 700 thread you might find something in there that says give it 30 days to update.  Considering it's been like 10... you should give it a few more weeks for the discharge to report and all the accounts to show IIB.

If after 30 days that hasn't happened, I'd dispute.

Good luck.  Smiley Wink

Re: is there a problem....

@iphillips - don't pay TRC any mind. He's like that all the time. Smiley Mad most here are very helpful.

in any event, welcome to myfico. We are all here looking for help and most ARE polite and helpful.

When I filed, that's is when I started cleaning up my reports. It's the creditor that are suppose to report their tradelines correctly...to show IIB / 0 balance.

I don't see anything wrong with sending the discharge directly to the credit reporting agencies because it is a public record and anyone could view it if they choose to..it's not a secret if it's a public record.Smiley Wink

if if you think sending the discharge would expedite the process by all means do so.

good luck to you.

A person doesn't agree with you and they are unhelpful?  Boo hoo... go cry yourself a river.  I called you out on your "BR filed to BK discharged in 8 months to 700 credit score in another 8 months" and you don't like me...  good for you because I don't care.

I was born at night but it wasn't last night. You want to talk smack do it in a PM... that way when I tell you where you can go and how to get there the whole world doesn't have to see it.

I help plenty of people here at myFICO... especially the ones who aren't constantly shedding tears expecting the world to feel sorry for them or posting such obvious BS credit scores in their sigs.

Prove I'm wrong... link your myFICO page.

That's right... but to expect all your accounts to be updated 10 days after discharge is a bit much... most creditors only report once every 30 days anyway which is exactly what I said in my first response.

Give it 30 days to update... then dispute... as I said and as many others have said.  Sending in your discharge papers hoping to speed up the process is wishful thinking... all the CRA is gonna do is contact the creditors for a status update anyway.

That was my helpful post for the day...

Re: is there a problem....

@TRC, get over yourself and try to be more supportive. Don't forget where you came from....

Also, stop trying to find fault with the success of others. If you can't or don't want to support our success then just focus on your own because IMO 4.49% interest rate is not the best but in spite of it I'm happy for you.

I am over myself...

4.49% is a pretty good interest rate for getting a $42,000 car with $0 down at 84 months... and with a BK13 still reporting for another year.  You're right, it's not the best interest rate... but I never said it was.

I will be refinancing in another year when my reports are clean and my scores are 700+ like you claim yours are... (yeah right)

Now why don't you go pull someone else's leg with your 530 to 700 credit scores 1 year after discharge.
