job loss during chapter 13

We are currently in a Chapter 13.  My wife is about to get layed off for about 6 months.  I have not talked to my attorney yet (have an appointment for next week).  Is it possible to get Trustee to lower payment for a certain length of time.  Either that or I will have to get my mortgage temporarly adjusted.

What did your attorney have to say?  He will know what your options are, and the tendencies of your trustee in situations like this.
