Just wanted to say that there is definitely a much brighter side post discharge. Just got an auto financed through my credit union 9 mos post discharge for 2.6%, 100% finance, and my fico score stands at 681! I opened 2 capital one credit cards within a few mos post discharge. Best decision ever!
USC credit union was great to work with, and I honestly didnt think my rate would be that low, in fact I was still concerned about my score until I received my score from them....amazing! my husband and I each have 2 credit cards, and we pay them on time every month. After this whole experience it makes you appreciate the things you took for granted, it makes us think through every financial decision, to make sure we learned from our errors and make wise financial decision going forward.
