because you guys know everything, I have to ask...
I stalk the NDC and PACER.... On 2/26/15 I made my last payment on my ch. 13. There was about a $3900 overpayment on my account, which I was told I would receive. When I look at the ledger, 2 checks were cut back in March (3/18 and 3/30), the payee just says N/A.... I don't see the amounts applied to any creditors on my account, so I have been assumming the checks were mine and I have been waiting very impatiently. I figure those checks have to be cashed before my account can be audited and discharged. NO CHECKS. I moved 2.5 years ago. I let my lawyer know about 3 times. PACER still has my old address. Also the wage recind notice was sent to the old address. I contacted my lawyer for the third time, my trustee's paralegal and my trustee all within a 2-3 week period. My lawyer got right back to me, but no one else has. PACER hasn't been updated, NDC still doesn't show any changes. I really don't want to bother anybody else about this, but I don't want it to prolong my discharge and frankly, I'd love to have an extra $3900 in my checking account!!! My questions are..... How long did it take to get your reimbursement checks if you overpaid? Is ther anything else I can do? I've gone as far as to mail stamps to the person that owns the house that i moved from AND to REforward my mail.....NOTHING.
I got my $43 overpayment check about 3 weeks after I got my discharge.
You won't get it before the audit and discharge.
Our over-payment was just a couple hundred dollars. We paid ours off early at the end of June 2014. Our discharge date was August 28 but I think we got our refund a couple weeks before the discharge date. Hope this helps!
