Amex good to platinum upgrade offer

I just got an email form AMEX wanting me to upgrade my six month old Business Gold to the Platinum. Offer gives me 30,000 bonus miles for $10,000 spend over 5 months. Is this a decent offer? I can do the spend, but would like a better offer! What are the MYFICO thoughts on this offer?

is the platinum 100k offer floating around right now... I would just apply for a new accounts instead of upgrade if you can make the plat AF worth it.

An absurd offer for $10,000 worth of spend.  Walk away and keep your pride intact.

I agree! My pride is worth more than those 30,000 miles for 10,000 spend. I will wait until I get something worthwhile
