I'm in the banking business and do quite a bit of new client smoozing so I decided to app for a business card. I chatted with a rep and explained I have no official business structure, operate as a SP and receive no direct income from this part of my business. I only get reimbursed from corporate for entertainment expenses. She invited me to apply. Kind of shocked that I got an instant $12,000 approval but I'll take it. I'll probably put all my entertainment and meals through this card. I've received 5 instant approvals with Amex and two new accounts with only a soft pull, now I have a hidden trade line to boot. I'm feeling the Amex love here...
Congrats on the approval. Amex is very good for business credit and they’re a great place for those just starting out.
Thanks Irish! Is it ok to spend in all categories with their business cards? Oh and I edited. It was the Simply Cash Plus...
Congrats!

Yes
I applied the Blue Business Plus, since it is another MR rewards card and the MR points are pooled together. It is just hard for me to accumulate $10,000 spending in 3 months to get the bonus for this card. There are other card bonus that I can get and they all yield better returns on bonus spending.

didnt know they were running another promo on this card.
This card has a bonus of $200 with $5,000 spending, and another $200 with another $5,000 spending. The business SPG, PRG and Plat have better payout ratios.
I know they are different cards. I just prefer a MR card than a cash card.
It is a good card for real business spending.... A simple card. You get all the OPEN benefits.
