I had a bank of america credit line from a business. We no longer have this business but continue to make the payments on the line of credit. We have had not accessed the line of credit in over 2 years. I get a certified letter in the mail this morning telling me that they are making a change in our line of credit. They added a maturity date of December 25, 2011 and says borrower will repay in full any principal, interest or other charges outstanding under this agreement no later than that date. Can they do that??
Thanks for any advice!
well when the government decided to make the credit laws for some reason they did not find it important to include business accounts in the new laws, so banks are pretty free to what they can do on those accounts.... but pay in full a cl, that seems like a recipe for default.
