I Love CAP1 !!!

So, Dec of 2014 I got approved for the CAP1 Sparks Miles for $15k , 20.99 APR. (I thought the APR was high in case I needed to carry a balance. But since I usually don’t carry a balance , that’s ok) . Just wanted this card to keep business expense separate from personal and for the miles , of course .

About 3 months later, I go online and request a CLI via de Love button. Received a letter saying account too new. Next day, went online and to my surprise , they upped the CL to $18k . Received a letter saying they OVERTURNED their decision after a MANUAL review .

End of May tried again the love button, got a letter saying something of “CLI has been requested too recently “ . ( Ok, no problem, I was expecting that ) .

Fast forward to yesterday, called the EO to try again to lower the APR, she said  that’s nothing they can’t do right now. . .

Logged in today , auto CLI to $25k !!

I just can’t never understand how CAP1 works. Seems like they have no set rules for CLIs .

(If this is of any help, I do use around $10k to $15k a month on this card, and pay-off in full) .

Congrats on your CLIs and APR reduction!  We have this card at my regular job and have racked up a TON of miles using it as we run thru about 15k-20k a month on it (some months more than that) and Cap1 has been pretty good with customer service.  We've had the card for years and have a $50k limit now.  Keep up the spending and you'll be there soon!
