I've been incorporated for 11 months. Got my d&b number in January- hadn't done anything with biz credit since.
Since I'm in the garden repairing my own credit I decided it's a good time to start building biz credit.
I opened a few trade accounts and placed orders.
Approved for:
Quill - They were not happy with the fact I work from home. I had to ease the rep into allowing a net 30. After 3 orders and payments she will be more flexible. I'm on "probation". I ordered a $10 item. Paid in full after recieving.
Grainger- placed $20 order. 30net?
Seton-
Uline- placed $20 order 30 net?
Gemplers- placed $20 order 10 net?
Reliable - placed small order 15? net
(I could be off on my net days and I don't know the credit limits- they reps all pretty much said it depends on the order/status and credit department would look into each order)
and Wright Express! 2k limit 26 day net. How did I get this? I don't have any trades reporting yet... my experian report is empty (just checked it).
Congrats
Fedex office if you have the need is easy to get and as soon as you think CR's are in order head on over to CAP1 Sparks, Amex and Chase business
Thanks. I'll look into them. I use fedex/kinkos for printing about once a month as is. Sounds like a great fit.
How long until you think I should look into non pg credit cards? Should I get a secured first?
Non PG cards are harder and harder to find these days but Staples, Amazon and such are still around but pretty hard to get until you have some established business credit probably and some say you need more than 1 million in sales to not pg but I have read others get in under that.
but not familiar with really any visa or mc these days that don't require pg.
also not sure all your net 30's you are applying for even report anyway... some do but don't believe Uline does.
im also surprised with your Wright... you didn't get instant did you?

7-12 months of good history should open the doors for business CC's
Use that time to strengthen your personal CR's to improve chances of approvals on first try
