I unlocked EQ and apped for two business cards today, the basic BoA card, and the Chase Ink Cash.  ( I wanted plane-jane cards with $0 AF).  Got the "pending" message on both, decided to call Chase first.

After playing 20 questions, the analyst at Chase wanted to move some personal credit over to open the new business card.  I hesitated.  I offered to close my Ink charge completely, and move the $15k revolving limit to the new business card.  She said she couldn't guarantee I'd get the entire $15k, and without actually closing the account, she couldn't give me a number.  I double checked to make sure I had 30 days to make up my mind, and said I'd call back.

Bank of Amerca, again played 20 questions.  Apped for the basic plat Visa.  After being placed on hold for 20 minutes, the analyst said he was ready to open the account with a $5k line, but couldn't verify my address (even though I pointed out that my World MC and Virgin Amex statement arrive just fine).  In any event, I faxed a copy of a utility bill and the account was open.

So...what about Chase.  Just let it go ? Call back and talk to another analyst for clarification ? Reduce some personal line and increase my DTC ratio ? As always, I appreciate all the input here.

Re: Opinions Needed

It looks like you may have hit your internal limit with Chase, and you have 2 options:

1. Close Ink Bold to open Ink Classic. You may get a reduced CL (my guess is yes), but you also get rid of a redundant AF (due to CSP).

2. Transfer some CL from CSP to open Ink Classic. You gain the ability to spend more on business expenses, and the Ink Classic CL is guaranteed.

The deciding factors may be how large is your business spend, and do you really need a 21k line on the CSP...
