I just pulled he trigger on this holiday for the AmEx Simply Cash and go this message: Your application is being reviewed, Please Call Us..
What has been the groups experience with this message??
I concur that if it is to call them usuallyverification. And it they got their verification, then you are most likely approved.

My experience has been that it was followed by a denial.
For me it said to call that they had to speak to me. So I called and the lady said no issues, the system is doign its thing, I don't remember but I just think i gave hem standard info whenever you call into a CC company, i don't remember her looking at anything. So about a week later I got my approval email. And a few days after that a shiny silver card expedited. If you already called just hang tight. But I wouldnt hesitate to call.
Update..... Simply put...It was a denial...

Sorry to hear.. What was the reason given if you don't mind me asking?

+1
I'm surprised. Usually if they ask for a call it is verification.
