Good Morning! I officially launched an art business about 2 years ago (paintings) and decided that I needed to seperate my business and personal expenses for tax purposes. I also am part of cooperative gallery that I'm the administrator of and was pre-approved for a business CC when I opened our business checking account. It's been very helpful (and lucrative I might add) having my expenses kept seperate especially for tax preparation. Here are the approvals I've gotten in the last year...
Chase Ink Cash $18k (went pending then approved the next day...have had accounts with Chase for 7+ years)
Bank of The West $18k (gallery checking account/pre-approved)
Amex Business Gold (pre-approved thru website. have had several Amex cards. 75k MR point offer)
Amex SimplyCash $10k ($300 bonus for $1k spend mailer...couldn't pass this up!)
All were PG'd with FICOs in the 790-810 range. I would encourage anyone that is looking to start a business to consider getting a CC to keep your finances in order and PIF! Chase and Amex have the better cards with the best rewards and sign-up bonuses. But any step you take to get established will help build your business credit file.
Massive approvals... Congrats!!
Damn, I wish I would have gotten that SimplyCash mailer! Congrats!
