So I had 5 Citi offers in the mail today (currently living APO so mail comes in month long budles). I called and went through the benefits of each and chose the Thank You Preferred card. Christmas (CSR's name, no joke) was really nice when she said I was approved for $5,000!! Woo hoo.

EQ 660, TU 666 from MyFICO as of 10 days ago. I have a Forclosure that is 2.8 years old and some 60 day lates and a 15 30 days on a car note that are 2 years old. I have a paid collection to Amex 4 years old and 120+ later on student loan 5.5 years old.

Yeah, I am still trying to figure out how my wife got that, she only had $18k income at the time she got the card. I think it had to do with being an AU on her brother's cards (he is a surgeon with perfect credit, family, cars etc....) I hit the floor when she got that approval because all they gave me was $500 and an annual fee of $39.
We are afraid to do anything other than spend and pay with that card for fear of a Credit Line Decrease.
