AMEX BCE approval!

I am very excited about my BCE approval so I can take advantage of my long history with AMEX. I was approved for my first green card when I was 18 in 1987. I knew nothing of credit at the time and used the card for a couple of years and then just stopped using it until 2010. At that time I had forgotten I had previously had the card and reapplied for a green card and was approved. It was backdated to 1987. In 2011 I upgraded it to a gold card with the same member date of 1987. Well, on Monday I decided to apply for the BCE and was approved online. I received the card yesterday and was shocked with a 10K limit. So now I have two AMEX cards with dates of 1987. in case you are wondering my EX score was a 710. Have a great day.

Re: AMEX BCE approval!

Congrats!!!!! I am still wondering about my backdating...I also had a green card in college, so I wonder if they will automatically back date me or if I will have to ask.

Re: AMEX BCE approval!

I never asked about the backdating on mine but if they didn't I would certainly remind them. Good luck to you.

Re: AMEX BCE approval!

Congrats and welcome to the Amex family

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
