Wow, this seems unreal! I just got instantly approved for the AMEX PRG! Despite making tremendous progress in the past year, my reports are no where near perfect. I was pretty sure that this would just be a wasted inquiry but decided to pull the trigger, after reading about several approvals with less than stellar reports. I'm not sure what my actual scores are right now but last time I checked (March 2013) they were in the low 620s, and not much has changed since then.
Here is roughly what my report looks like:
Positive:
6 Credit card accounts with perfect payment history for the past 2 years. My utilization is currently around 4% total. All of these have been opened since starting my rebuild 2 years ago.
USAA 0/5000 (secured)
Barclays US Airways 400/4000
BoA 123 Cash 71/2000 (secured)
Cap 1 Cash Rewards 0/1000
Best Buy 0/500
Cap 1 Secured 0/400
Negative:
Paid Judgment from 2006, set to fall off in November
Paid medical collection from 2007
Dozens of lates on 4 student loan tradelines. I have since rehabbed all of these accounts and they have been paid on time for the last two years. But unfortunately my efforts to remove the negative information with goodwill letters hasn't worked.
Congrats!! Love me some Amex!!!
Congratulations!!
Congrats x1000000 !! If you can find out what your scores were upon getting approved (they can usually tell you), let us know! i'm itching to apply for the Green and I'm in my mid 600s. Enjoy the beautiful card & awesome company!
I'm really curious what my score was. I hope they report it in the letter. The PRG is a really good fit for me right now cause I travel weekly for work. I have a company issued AMEX but I don't get any of those points. So I'm perfectly happy to charge on my own personal PRG and then get the reimbursements and the points!
Congrats!
Hi
I was approved for a PRG and a Delta Skymiles last week. Cards have already arrived. Because the PRG is a charge card and not paid over time, they didn't send me my credit score as there was no interest rate to disclose. My skymiles came with a credit score, my interest rate 19.4, if I choose to pay over time, Also applied for BCE, denied do to time with American express. Since it is the same day, i would apply for a revolver also, I applied for three cards, received 2 of 3, 1 credit inquiry only.
Also I had an american express card back in 1984, both my cards are dated "member since 84, so I should get 29 years credit history with each. I am so excited, and very excited for you too, best wishes.
Does anyone know if AE reports to all three bureau's?????
Congrats !!
Does anyone know if the Blue Cash Preferred has different underwriting standards from just Blue Cash?
