Hello Everyone,
I just went through a huge app spree that ended fairly well for me.
June 15, 2014
Chase Freedom - Instantly Approved - CL $2000
Capitol One Quicksilver - Instantly Denied - No recon number
Amazon Store Card - Instantly Approved - CL $900
BillMeLater - Instantly Approved - CL $1001
Target RedCard - Instantly Approved - CL $300 (total BS)
Citi Simplicity - Instantly Denied - No recon number
Capitol One Platinum - Instantly Denied - No recon number
Chase Slate - 7-10 day message - denied via mail - recon for manual approval - CL $2000
BACKGROUND INFO
SCORES (reports freshly pulled on 6/15):
696 - Equifax
718 - Transunion
687 - Experian
698 - FICO (via discover website)
CREDIT HISTORY:
2 years of history
AAoA - 1.7 years
ZERO derogatory marks/delinquencies
ALL on time/as agreed payments
Overall Util - 16%-ish
MY WALLET prior to app spree:
Yearly Income: ~ 40,000
10 open accounts (6 installment (student loans deferred), 4 revolving))
discover card - 2k - maxed out
carecredit - 10k - small balance ($303)
Victorias Secret Angel Card - $940 - $0 balance
Express Next A-List - $950 - $0 balance
6 student loans
My scores were pretty good according to the FICO website, but all of the potential creditors pulled a 674 from EQ. And Capitol One pulled ALL THREE BUREAUS. Not sure where my scores sit now, but according to my discover statement my scores are a little higher after all of the inqs. Should I try to write a letter and recon for the other cards or should i just be done with it? Advice anyone?
Great run, grats
Always recon here is the backdoor number thread http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Backdoor-Numbers/m-p/408066

Congrats on all your success
Congrats on all the new cards
Congrats! Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing.
CONGRATS on your App Spree!!! I suggest that you wait about 6 months and then go for an AMEX to add to your wallet.
congrats
I agree. Wait 6 months, build up credit and pay down balances and apply for AMEX Everyday. Great rewards and I think they have a point bonus offering. Good luck and congratulations!
Congrats on your app spree!
