Amex will go to 30k with no issues, but you have to fill out the form that lets them review your tax transcript.

I have $2k. I'm kinda scared to ask for $6k so I may just do $5k. I don't want it to get denied :l
I'm sorry for the irrevelancy guys, but I was reading everyone's responses, and I must say that your signature has got to be one of the best I've seen on this site. Especially the CapOne- when I feel like a noob hahaha
@ccnewb23 wrote:So I've had my BCE card for over 60 days. It was approved for the initial amount of 10k. Now, I could ask for 30k but I feel like I wouldn't get approved for this amount by the automated system. Anyone else have experience with asking for this big of a credit line?
Edit: I got impatient and just submitted an increase to 25k and got instantly approved. Too scared to ask for the full 30k. =p
@Anonymous!!! congrats to you! Your post gave me the courage to do it myself. I was approved for my TE @ 10k in Feb. So I called today and was also approved for the CLI to 25k! I didn't ask for the 30k either. 25k is more than comfortable based on purchases I plan to make this summer.

Lulz! It used to say "my main b*tch/my side b*tch" but a mod changed it xP
Alright then, I suppose I'll go for the full $6k in 1.5 weeks when my time comes. I really hope they give me a counter offer if they don't approve the $6k. $6k is one-third of my income so thats what is a bit worrisome but hopefully its nbd.
Wow, when my 3x time comes ill only be looking at 3,000 do you think they would do 5k If i asked for it? Maybe best thing would be to wait 6 months after I hit 3k and try to double that. My highest card right now is only 3000, But I have decent scores...

Yeah your scores are great. Don't request any more than 3x your limit for the 61 days. With your scores, I'm guessing your lower limits are income related? BCE's lowest limit is typically $2k so thats kinda weird for me see $1k lol
Well I hit 40k last year not counting the wife's but I usually only list about 35k when apping for credit.( Flawed logic on my part.) no rent or house payment. Just a car. About 39k loan. That probably did hurt me and I kind of wish I'd have just reported 65k yearly household income, but too late now. And gotta get the BofA card below 900 before amex CLI in 1.5 months.

CONGRATS!!!!
Thanks all. This forum is great. About 2 years ago I had no idea about credit and no credit history until I found this site. Started building, gardening, and took care of my credit and now I have a 25k CC all thanks to this forum and it's members.
