i have been approved with American Express® Premier Rewards Gold Card today after quick verification. It was not instant and i have to call in to complete the application process. I already have bunch of AMex cards in my profile. Recently I was approved for SPG as well. I got tempted with 50K MR offer for new PRG. Currently I have below AMEX cards under my name :

i use all cards now and then and carry balance on couple of 0% APR cards. I have more than 20 inquiries with EX from last 2 years. My scores are around 740 TU, 736 EX and 694 EQ.
