So happy to finally be seeing progress! 45 days ago, I applied for a car loan with USAA and got a great rate. They also approved me for a World Mastercard at the same time – $10K CL at 10.9%. The only other cards I had were First Premier with a $450 CL (ready to get rid of them as soon as the credit on my account for the monthly fees runs out in December) and Capital One with a $500 CL and no AF. I don’t need any new credit, but wanted to get some accounts with higher limits, so I applied online this morning and was approved!
USAA AMEX – $9500 CL at 10.9% - instant approval. I like nice even numbers, so the $9500 isn’t thrilling me. Is it worth calling them to ask about making it an even $10K?
Chase Sapphire - $5000 at 15.24% – instant approval. I called and asked for a CLI and was declined, but the rep made sure to let me know that I have an access line and not a credit limit. Is an access line instead of a credit limit typical for them?
Citi Diamond Preferred - $3000 at 0% for 18 months and then 21.99%. I had to call in, but they didn’t ask for any additional information, just put me on hold for 2 minutes. The rep came back and said I was approved with an initial CL of $3000 and mentioned that it was very low and said that as soon as I receive my card next week, I should call in and request a CLI. Has anyone had any luck requesting a CLI from them so soon?
FWIW, I only have one 30 day late from 5 years ago. I got a SW alert earlier this week that my credit score changed – now 787, up from 772 on 06/16.
One more question, can someone direct me to the right place to figure out how to set up a siggy and join the garden club?
Thanks and Happy 4th!!

Happy 4th and Congrats!
About your Sapphire...since it's a Visa Signature card, if you need to charge over the "access line" you can, you just have to pay whatever that amount is right away. $5000 is basically the amount you can have as a revolving balance.
You got some awesome cards today!

One more thing to add...during my app spree, I started an online application for a Discover card, but then decided not to move forward with it. Apparently I went far enough for them to pull my CR because they called me Saturday morning to complete it. Since it was already showing as an inquiry (alert from SW), I decided to go ahead with it. Approved for $4,500 and 0% for 14 months! Being brave after all of my new approvals, I clicked the CLI button on Cap One's website...up to $1,000 from $500!
I'm going to the garden today! Maybe an AmEx next year, but I think I'm set for now. Started with less than $1,000 in total credit limits less than 45 days ago and now over $33,000. I've been reading a lot on here and am so grateful that you all share your vast amounts of information! Thank you all!!
Congrats again now off to the garden for you with nice new cards to grow.
Hope to see you there soon
