I received an increase with a hard pull from 5k to 10k. The problem is that this does nothing for my utilization because this particular signature card doesnt' report a limit. I may have them move that credit to my American Express card that has an 11k limit. I pretty much wasted an inquiry. I thought I cancelled it before it went through. Oh well.
That isn't a bad plan; depending how utilized your TU report is it's probably inconsequential... it's certainly better than me who after I did my silly little app spree, simply saw that nothing landed on TU at all so put in for a BOFA CLI which will likely be a non-starter anyway with how recently they graduated the card.

You would have done better asking for that increase on the American Express card. When they move credit from other cards, they require another credit pull. The representative told me it is basically a credit limit increase, so that is why they do it.
Congrats on your approval
Tactical error. Oh well. No harm, no foul.
I have heard you can request that they provide you credit limit to the cra's, but I haven't gotten around to see if this is true on my bofa siggy. Also if utilization is that important you can always request a down grade to non siggy version.

They will really work with you.
My siggy reported for months, and then bam. CL gone.
I called and asked for a card that would report. They offered me their mastercard option, but I stated I wanted my card to remain on the visa network. They put in a request, and changed me to a none siggy rewards card that remains a visa.
They will work with you if you want to keep a card that reports.
I didn't know they had a mastercard option...
I will let you know how it turns out.
They had to put in a request for investigation asking for a change of service to a visa. It took 4 days for them to approve the request.
I still do not have the new card so who knows what might show up in the mail. :-)
