I initally called Cap1 to ask for a deletion of a late payment back in 07. They said NO citing the fair credit reporting act. 
Then I asked for CLI, the rep asked me for the basics, income, rent, said they would do a soft pull which was true. That was yesterday AM and this AM I got a $500 increase when I checked my online billing w/them.
I wanted a $1200 but hey, I thought ask for more and see what they would give me. I am very happy especially since I hear Cap1 is stingy w/their CLI.
