CSP CLI at 2.5 Months

I haven't posted in awhile but I wanted to share an experience since many have commented on getting a CLI on the CSP.

I was approved for mine mid September and yesterday I decided to ask for a CLI in order to pay off a hospital bill on top of holiday shopping and a vacation. So I know that many recommend using the card for 6 months, but I asked early.

My starting limit was $5K and I was seeing if they could double it. I was countered with $9K without having to talk to an analysist. So my theory is that they liked my spending pattern on the card (about $4K since opening it and all charges PIF.)

I guess this shows that Chase will grant a CLI if they see enough spending and the corresponding payments shortly after obtaining the account. It probably also helped that I have a paid auto loan with them on top of a business card and 7 years banking history. The whole process of working with Chase is painless, making the CSP my primary card.

In my wallet: Amex Platinum NPSL, Amex EP $1000, CSP: $12500, Citi Hilton Honors Visa Signature: $15000, First Financial Bank: $11500, Discover More: $12000, Barclays Apple Financing: $6600, Macy's: $1000

Business: Chase Ink Cash World Mastercard: $5000

In my SD: CapOne $3000

Re: CSP CLI at 2.5 Months

Wooo Hooo Congrats

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Congrats!  I completely agree with you, dealing with Chase has been great and with some history, they give you probably the best flexibility of any issuer.

Hi, can you tell me whether the CLI resulted in HP on your EX? or any of the other 2?Thanks. I opened my United around then too, initial limit5.5k, would like it to go up to 15k. However, i have 8 HP on EX rightnow so if asking for CLI resulted in HP EX again i rather wait for auto-luv.
