After 3 yrs, I finally have my own credit card again!
I received the approval letter today for the Capital One Secured Master Card, $200 min sec deposit. I inquired about the max I can deposit, but the rep said their system wasn't working and to call back later. Anyone know offhand?
Also, by July I will have paid in full my $4k Chase charge-off from 2011, and I will work my butt off to sweet-talk a deletion.
It feels good to be on the path to major credit repair!
Thanks for listening
Congrats! I know exactly how it feels to finally have a credit card again after not having one for many years due to my own neglect. BofA also has an excellent secured card that graduates (and you can PC to a rewards card).
Good luck on your road to credit recovery!
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the good info on the max deposit and BOA sec card that can PC as well.
I know my euphoria is only about a secured card, but it's a substantial improvement in my profile and the right opportunity for what I need.
How many months need to pass before I noticed a bump in my score?

Congratulations! I started my rebuilding journey with a Cap1 secured card also.
Wow, you've come a long way since your repair in 2011. What was the key to your success?
