Many members are reporting that they're seeing a series of soft-inquiries on their reports from Capital One over the past few months, but no results coming out of it. Meanwhile, some members would suddenly go from $300 to $3000 within a year, but did nothing out of the ordinary to trigger this. BTW, $3000 is the max CL for those accounts for "average" credit.
I think what gets frustrating is the accounts do not grow and Cap1 quotes the same script "...you're doing terrific...keep doing what you are doing...we're a conservative lender...you'll get a letter in the mail..." Kinda like telling someone who spends money on Lottery tickets to... keep playing and eventually you'll win something one day.
I have a soft inq on my EQ report from Cap1 4/6/11 and my score was a 693 at that point, it just went to 700 yesterday when an inq fell off. I believe a 693 is not a bad score, and that score combined with my perfect payment history with them and all of my other CC's I should have received a CLI.
I mean when I apped for the Cap1 back in June of last year I was approved with a score of 583 and after almost a year of perfect pymt history with them and a 110 point score increase (at the time they softed) they still do not feel I'm worthy of a CLI?????
I did not know the "Max" for these cards was 3000, I wonder what has to be done in the eyes of Cap1 to be worthy of that CL??

Dying to know how you got a 110 pt increase in a year !! I can't get mine to budge. (sighs)
You must call the executive office of C1 for a CLI.....thats what I did....
Two year old thread... time to say it's run its course...
