I can confirm that Chase does, in fact, give Auto-CLIs after just a few months. I started with a limit of $3,500 in February. I happened to log in today, and noticed that my limit was $5,000. A nice $1,500 increase without my asking for it, and with no HP. I'll take it.
I know that many people have questions about Chase's CLI policy, so I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about my usage. I spent ~$8000 in 6 months, and would usually let a balance of ~$500 show at statement close. I did PIF a couple of times. The card has a current balance of $29, so that might have been why they decided to bump me.
Very nice - congrats
congrats-
im thinking of revovling my balance...they started me with a limit of 500 and my first statement just cut. i want to show i can pay over time, so im going to pay it down slowly, 50-100 bucks a month. i wont be be charged interest because of 0& intro APR, but hopefully that shows and is worth something. I will do the same on my Chase Amazon which will accrue interest. Well see what happens. My freedom is almost maxed out, and my Amazon is 500/700 maxed out. Crossing my fingers!

This is just my opinion, but I think that your high util might be an issue. If I was in your position, I'd PIF every month and never carry a balance (or no more than 5% in toto). Maxing out cards and carrying a balance that's maxed out seems counterproductive.
Still, who knows! Good luck, and let us know how it goes

Yeah, I'm only experimenting on these two cards. My other cards are PIF completely and I havent carried a balance since December, when I just got wise to credit cards and how to properly handle them.
I understand the high utilization might be a problem...but the idea is to show that I'm restricted while at the same time be able to easy make payments. Thoughts?
@random i would call and ask for a visa siggy
as for cli i got two autos one at 3 months then one at 6 months. 500-1000-1500 hoping for another by jan

I don't think (emphasis:think!) that the whole "restricted while able to make payments" would work. You could take that to it's logical conclusion, and just max out the card, and then make sure to PIF before the statement posts. These are all computer algorithms, and they only see that every month you have very low util and always PIF. I used this strategy, and it worked well for me.
I had a secured card from BoFA with a $1000 limit in 2011 (my first card), and for a year, I would always make sure I showed no more than $20-30 as a revolving balance, while at the same time practically maxing the card out every month before the statement posted.
After a year or so, I called up BoFA and asked for a CLI. The analyst took a look at my profile and said, "Oh, you have an excellent understanding of credit", and bumped me to $5,000.
YMMV, naturally. Income and other variables are also important.
