Just woundering HOW did you accomplish that? I have been working on my credit for along time (had Id theft in 2010) My Credit Reports are all clean now, I have 11 store cards, (One have had since 1990) But my score is still around 620 on all three CAs. I cant seem to get a visa or mastercard. Unless I put up the deposit for one, and I live in wisconsin so i cant get a Credit One Bank card or First Premire. My new Credit Reports (as of Jan 2013) are all clean but i lost over 30 years of credit history.  Maybe you can give me some advice on a bank that might give me a visa/mastercard. (Unsecured). I only have 1 inquiry on TU from 09/2012. and 2 on each of the other CAs. Just cant seem to get any good cards, should I wait another 6 months? Any suggestions? I would really like a AMEX card for my part time bussiness and personal to. I am also getting a mortage soon on a new home (already got that in the works). Discover turned me down, Cap1 also turned me down both for thin file and short history, and something about not being in my service area what ever that means. And I just dont want to put any more inquiries on my reports, unless that i may be approved. My utl on my store cards about 30% or less, It will be about 8% next month, anyway any advice would help.   Should I close some of those store cards and cut down to maybe 5 or 6? Or since i already have them, just keep them for percentages? Thanks for any info.
