Had to bite...Citi Diamond preapproval in the mail

I got a "hey, you're invited to apply for our Citi Diamond Preferred CC"...I decided, wth and applied.

 

Approved, $6.3k starting limit.

 

I'm done for a while.

I kept getting invites for that card from Citi, but wasn't interested in it.  Instead I figured since they kept trying to get me with that card they must have something good on me, I app'd instead for the Dividend.  The Diamond card doesn't really seem to be of any benefit, so I am happy they approved me for the Dividend.

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.....
Always follow these rules: Only take a HP for a new account. Always use the best rewards card for that reward category. Don't close a card unless you know you really should. Never use more than 35% of a credit limit. Recon as much and as best you can. Use the introductory period to the best advantage. Get the signup bonus. Whenever possible PIF or balance transfer so you pay less in interest. Never give an excellent rating when it is actually the norm. Always look for a discount as more is always better.
Always accept candy from strangers because they have the best candy or from people you know have good candy.

Congratz to you both!!! :-) I have been getting the diamond preferred thingies in the mail, they must be trying to push that card hard.
