I think you should trust her and explain to her the importance of paying on time and using on 30% hence $600 a month if needed and pay in full to avoid interest.

My 18 yo daughter is off to college next month and she found out that her campus doesn't take visa and her debit card is a visa. She is an AU in a Quicksilver MC that I gave her for emergencies, but she has never used it.
I decided to convince her to apply for a Capital One MC thinking she would get a 300 cl. I felt this would be perfect. The limit would be low so she couldn't get into trouble and she could pay it every week when she gets paid. Instead they gave her 2000 for a limit!
Now I'm happy for her and scared to death for her
I feel your pain/concern/happiness. My daughter got $3.2K on her first card and she is only 19. It was with Barclay Sallie Mae. I thought she would get $500, LOL. Boy was I shocked. She has only put about $200 on it in the 2 months she has had it. I just make sure that I have her login and password, so I can watch it and have a chat with her if I need to. Congrats to her and remember...breath! LOL

Congrats to your DD
Congrats!!! You should be and she should be happy. She can always call to reduce her CL. No one would stop her......I would not advice though......Honestly....

Part of it is my fault because I put the kids as AU's on a couple of my cards so I could help them get a head start, but she had a slight shoe buying problem AND she's moving away from home. I told her she is lucky and "don't screw it up". I was 18 once though. I guess I'm just being a dad.
I've been a victim of 'shoe addiction' since two summers ago... and there ain't no going back! lol Hopefully she'll be responsible!
Congrats to your Daughter
congrats!!!
Congrats to her! I'm only 19 with a pretty extensive credit history already and for my age have decent limits. As long as she's responsible this could be a great start for her!
