Huge CLI on my JC Penny!!

Love love loving my JC Penny card!

I was approved with a $500 limit on 2/19/13

In June I went for  CLI online and it went up to $1,000 and I was pleased with that!

Decided to give it another try today for a CLI  online and ....... now at $3,000!!! 

I have PIF after each statement cuts, but never use even close to my balance.  Just happy to see creditors FINALLY view me as credit-worthy again.

Thank you!  Discover CLI'd me from $4,000 to $5,200 in August at my 6month mark.  Hopefully in Feburary they'll be inclined to bump me again!

Say, if you don't mind me asking, what were your FICO scores when you were first approved for the card? I just received a "pre-qualified" invitation from JC Penny and was thinking of applying myself. However, if they are going to give me a low $500 limit I would propably rather not.

Sure, my EQ FIco was 703  and TU was 680

I opened JCP, Discover and a CU Visa all within the same week and those were my only inquiries w/in 12mos.  I will say that my EQ dropped 40pts and TU 22 after the new TLs posted to my reports - and those were the only changes that had been made.

And I understand not wanting the low limit - but keep in mind my limit has grown CONSIDERABLY in 8 short months so it's not like you're stuck at $500 forever ;-)

Thanks. Did they pull TU or EQ? I believe JCP is GEMB, so wouldn't they have pulled TU?
