Insanely Good Week

So, earlier this week contacted Cap One EO and they took my crappy cap one platinum with its 300 dollar credit line and no rewards and gave it 1% cash back and bumped the credit line to 2k.  Just this past hour, I was approved for the Discover IT(1k), and the Citi Forward(2.5k).  Only missing the amex blue cash and my wallet will be complete.  This has been and continues to be a fun journey returning from the depths of credit hell and being able to share it with you all.

In my wallet: Amex Platinum NPSL, Amex Everyday Preferred $15,000, Amex Starwood $10,000, Chase Freedom Visa Signature $10,000, Chase Sapphire Preferred Visa Signature $15,000, Chase Ink Plus Visa Signature $5000 Barclaycard Arrival Plus MasterCard World Elite $10,000, Cap One Quicksilver MasterCard $6000, Citi Prestige World Elite MasterCard $10,000, Citi Forward Visa $6900, Citi Premier World Elite MasterCard $5,800, Discover IT $8500

Re: Insanely Good Week

Very nice! I'm jealous of your CSP!!! I, too have had an amazing week. Before monday the only card I had was a Cap One $750!!! Maybe I will contact the EO regarding my toy limit and annual fee. How will you know you're ready for blue cash? I'm also interested in this card, but don't want to press my luck. For my freedom card, chase pulled TU and EQ. I wonder if this is usual for them?? Anyhow, congratulations on your new cards!!!

Re: Insanely Good Week

Check the boards here there's and in-depth guide as to how to go about dealing with the Cap One EO.  Everyone, myself included, seem to have tremendous success with them.  As far the blue cash, I already have a zync, and whenever I apply they will pull my experian, which happens to be the weakest of my 3 reports.  At last check my plus score was 676.  Therefore I will have to garden for a while, let accounts age some more months before applying again.

Re: Insanely Good Week

You should def give it a shot.  I was on the verge of cancelling the card, even tho that cap one is now my oldest card.  I had no use for it.  Altho in fairness, I probably won't use it much regardless lol.

Re: Insanely Good Week

I will have to try that EO once all my new (higher) limits post. So since you already have zync, amex will only sp your report? Or will it be a hp? AND they will backdate it, correct? I totally should have gotten that unicorn when I had the chance...

Re: Insanely Good Week

When you're a cardmember and you attempt to apply for another card, the general rule of thumb is soft pull if denied, hard pull if approved.  I got the zync because I like the flexibility of the charge card, and 25 dollar annual fee was worth it to me to build a relationship with amex.  Also yes, they backdate which is awesome.  So say they approve me for blue cash this year.  It'll be backdated to 2012 when I acquired the zync.
