Hello everybody! I just joined the forum after reading many of the threads, especially on the CSP. I will give a bit of my background for people who may be looking to apply.
I'm a full-time employee of a biotech company and have plans to go into law school in a couple of years after having some financial grounding. I am 24 years old and have a FICO score of 767 which comes from never having any delinquincies or negative reports on payments in my credit card life and also for paying off my car payments.
I am heading to Korea to manage the branch there for the company I'm currently at, and was looking for a no foreign transaction fee card with perks that would benefit me, and behold! the CSP became my top choice. I believed my income was a bit on the lower side ($60k) but decided to go to the bank in person because I wanted to grasp every bit of joy in being approved if it so occurred.
I was recently given notification by Chase that my Freedom card's limit could be raised, and after a personal information update, they immediately had it raised from 5k to 10k.
At the bank, I spoke with a client manager who was very pleasant and treated me with respect. After conversing for a while, there was a pause after which he told me I had been approved for a credit limit of 13k! As someone who wasn't positive in a positive outcome I was greatly relieved and excited for the fantastic news!
Now I'm ready to grab that $400-500 return through airfare and lasik surgery that I plan on getting before I leave for Korea!
A blanket thank you for all the help and information I've received thus far in this forum!

Congrats! Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing.
Congrats!!!!!!
Congrats on the CSP! Lots of freedom CLs getting their limit doubled. Wish I could get some of that.
Thank you all!
Would any of you happen to know if Chase offers Visa Signature on the Freedom card? My local branch told me they didn't, but I feel it might have been just that branch. I'd like to ask for an upgrade without a hard pull if possible. Thank you in advance!
They do offer VS with a CL over $5k which you clearly have.
Congrats!
I can't wait to apply for it on 1/1/15
Thanks for the response! Would you happen to know if I could have it done online without a hard inquire?
