My successful year with Cap1. Thanks guys!

Hi guys,

About 2 months ago I learned from this forum how to contact Cap1 EO by email. I sent an email and was increased from $500 to $3000 (with $59 AF removed).  This was for my Platinum Visa I got way back in college. Here is the old thread

2 days ago I was thinking well I have another 6-month old Cap1 (MasterCard) at $1000 with $39 AF, and a 3-month old Spark Cash Select Business at $2000. So I called them and asked for 2 things:

  1. Spark: CLI to $5000
  2. MC: Remove AF and bring CL up to match the Visa - $3000

The lady said she'd forward this to underwriting and would get back to me in 3-5 days. However it's the new year so expect maybe a week.

However, this morning I logged into Cap1 and saw new limits $3000 and $5000 in the MC and Spark respectively.

I'm very happy with my limits on Cap1 now given they removed the $59 and $39 AFs on my personal accounts and granted me a total credit of 11K (perosonal+business) compared to my starting limit with them six months ago of $500. I am grateful because I still have several paid COs, 30/60/90 from 2 years ago.

THANK YOU GUYS.

No hard. Not even soft. I asked the EO lady about this. She said they have my files. Underwriting would go through the files and would even approve the whole requested amount or counter. When I got the increase 2 months ago, there was no pull either.

Thanks mod. What interesting was I called and only asked about the Spark business CLI because I really need a CLI on that. I figured I already got a CLI on my personal Visa 2 months ago and granted it'd take them 12 years to give me a CLI, so I did not even bother to ask for a CLI on my personal MC. However, the lady asked me after we were done talking abou the Spark "is there anything else I can do for you?". I thought to myself "Now that you mention it, here it goes...please remove $39 AF and match CLI on my MC".
