First, I would just like to extend a humble thanks to everyone who has helped me personally, and all those who have donated their invaluable information to the forum. Your research and experiences have helped me get where I am now.
I started gardening about 2 weeks ago and since then my Ex credit score has jumped from 644 to 791! Seeing that it was rumored Amex only pulls from Ex, I immediately applied for the Amex Everyday card and was approved for an initial CL of $8000 and received the lowest APR they offer! A funny side note: the Amex guy on the phone sounded almost as surprised as me and said "wow you must be doing something right! hahaha". He's right, I joined the myfico.com forums! Can't wait for 3x CLI day
congrats
congrats, how did you get the huge score jump?
Thanks guys
I started with the following negs: 1 30-day late with TU, EX and EQ (1.5 yrs old), and an additional 30-day late with EX (7 mo. old, which was the banks fault). I called PayPal and my bank to ask for a one-time courtesy to delete them and they both showed up as deleted within the same week (I was alerted via text by SW)! I couldn't believe it. Also, my credit utilization was around 89% which I was able to pay down to around 3% with part of an inheritance (2 CC's to a zero balance and the 3rd to 9%).
Other info: oldest account is 10 years and AAoA is a litte over 2 years.
Hope this info helps someone!
