Applied for the Quicksilver for Excellent Credit and was approved for 3k starting limit! I applied because I found that my Amex 12 year backdate finally reported to the credit bureaus and figured I was eligible for the no fee one.

I'm pretty upset about the starting credit line though, because I currently have 2 AMEX cards (one 6K, the other 7K).

I should've let those credit lines report first so that the automated system could have detected it. I guess I have to wait to request a CLI from Capital One because I wasn't patient, but oh well. I really want a Visa Signature card, so I'm looking to request for 5K from 3K.

Would anyone have any advice when/how I should request a 5K limit from 3K? I heard that Capital One doesn't do a hard pull for CLIs, and that they go based on information they receive from the bureaus, maybe from the credit watch system they provide for free to customers?

P.S I've already called to see if they could change my credit limit, but they can't.

Wait until after 6 months of good usuage and request then.

you can always try the EO. just google capital one CEO. But I would wait the 6 months hit the luv button, see what happens then call the EO.
